I love to see the Temple

Hunter gave a wonderful talk today in primary today. He told me what to write and I typed it up. Good job son! I love you!!!

I Love to see the Temple

One of my favorite primary songs is “I Love To See the Temple. I'm going there someday” (he actually began to sing the song when he gave the talk--it melted my heart, so sweet) I like that song because it means that someday I can go to the temple and feel the Holy Spirit there. I can prepare to go the temple by listening at church, understanding what the scriptures mean and be a good friend. I want to go to the temple so I can take a bigger step to be with Heavenly Father again. I can't wait until I can be sealed in the temple and then when you die when you come back alive you can still have that person.

I want to bear my testimony I know the church is true. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for us. I know that a temple is a house of God. And I want to go to the temple someday.

E-I-N-G-O!

I found Madison singing with the microphone this morning--what a character! She she saw me come into the room and had me sit down and listen to her sing some of her favorite songs--"E-I-N-G-O", "Popcorn Popping", and "ABC". This one was my favorite.....

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's day to all all of the wonderful Father's out there--especially my grandfather, my father, husband, brother-in-laws, cousins, and good friends!

I love you Jesse! You are an amazing father.

Famous Dave's

After Heritage Square we decided that we hadn't spent enough money (yeah, right) so we decided to go out to dinner to Famous Dave's--a home-cooking barbecue resturant. So good!

The food was great, as always, but the after dinner entertainment was even better.

Hunter created a table soccer game--with crayons as goals and a piece of wadded up paper straw wrapper as the ball---and as you can see, Jesse and Hunter really got into it. Boys will be boys!

(When it was time to leave, Hunter asked if he could take the "ball" and "goals" home so we could play more at home. So he crammed his pocket with crayons and wadded up paper straw wrapper. What a kid!)

Day 2 of our Denver Vacation: Heritage Square

Yes, we do live in Denver but since Jesse had already planned to take off work for the rest of the week (to go camping/rafting), we decided to have a family vacation here in Denver. Yesterday we went to the zoo--lot's of fun! Today we went to Heritage Square in Golden, Colorado and rode the alpine slide. It was the kids and my first time riding an alpine slide. Savannah and Hunter were very hesitant about the idea (not Madison--she is one fearless little girl).





First up was Savannah (she was old enough to go by herself) and Dad with Madison (going together). Afterwards, Savannah said the scariest part of the whole thing was riding the chairlift up the mountain. She had never been on one before and had to ride it all by herself. After three times she wasn't nervous at all.

Everyone had a great time. And Madison, of course, was the bravest out of all the kids--screaming for us to go faster!

Surprise....a day at the Zoo!

A year ago we planned to go camping and water rafting up at Jackson, Wyoming for this week (June 11th-14th). Then we were blessed to have Eliza and we decided Jesse would take the older two and I would stay home with Eliza and Madison. Earlier this week the weather started to show that it was going to be a bit chilly in Jackson. Then this morning we discovered that is was snowing in Jackson! Needless to say, Jesse canceled the trip--he was so sad to miss out on rafting down the Snake River but not so sad to camp in below freezing weather! So we made a last minute decison and surprised the kids with a trip to the Denver zoo! We had an awesome time together. Fun memories!

-Hearing my kids say "Wow, that was really fun! Thanks Mom!" as we drove home!

The other day while I was washing the dishes I started to hear Hunter singing....and this is what I found....

(now we just need to teach Hunter more words to the song.... or have him watch Karate Kid again)

(Sorry it's so long--I don't know how to edit video yet. The funny thing is he probably sang her those two lines for more than 10 minutes, over and over and over...... Where do kids get their lasting power?)
