You're the best around!

The other day while I was washing the dishes I started to hear Hunter singing....and this is what I found....

Eliza's new theme song!

(now we just need to teach Hunter more words to the song.... or have him watch Karate Kid again)

(Sorry it's so long--I don't know how to edit video yet. The funny thing is he probably sang her those two lines for more than 10 minutes, over and over and over...... Where do kids get their lasting power?)

The Carnival

The kids put on their own carnival here at the house. They are so creative! I didn't help them out at all. I was surprised at how much thought and work they put into it. They had a list of games, a map of the carnival where each game was going to be played, and signs at each station. I followed them around and took pictures and videos of them playing at each "station." I was very impressed at how organized everything was.

Here are games:

Bumper Boats: Kitchen (scooting around on pillows on the kitchen floor)

Trampoline: Entrance Room (jumping on pillows while Savannah sings and plays on the piano)

Shadow Show: Bathroom (all of us squeezed into the bathroom while Hunter shines a flashlight on the wall and with the shadows from this fingers, retells the story of Hansel and Gretel)

Puppet Show: T.V. room (Savannah giving a puppet show with 2 Clifford slippers, Belle doll, and her hand---about a princess and prince who find twin dogs and teaches them tricks)

Gone to go Fishing: Hunter and Madison's room (fishing for toys)

Sleeping Bag Game: T.V. room (Everyone in a sleeping bag, following Savannah's orders--head back, close eyes, chant "Sleeping Bag", feet up, turn your head to the side, sit up, etc.)

Craft Toy Going Home: (Kitchen) drawing what ever you want, coloring, and cutting it out. Savannah drew a bear called "Weirdo Bear," Hunter drew a person called "Weirdo Rainbow," and Madison drew a bat called "Talqubaq"

Hunter's Candy Shop: Refreshments in Hunter and Madison's room (even before this Carnival, Hunter has created his own Candy Shop--he even made his own shirt that he wears when he sells his candy to his sisters. Each candy has a price tag taped onto it. Today he was giving away 1 piece of candy and a ticket for another piece of candy for another time--quite generous!)

Simon Says: Savannah's room (led by Savannah)

Listen and Do: Savannah's room (led by Mom--I tell them to do something, like touch your head, turn around, etc. then when I yell "Stop" they have to run and jump onto Savannah's bed)

Junior Golf: Outside (canceled because Hunter found the grass to be too long to putt the golf ball)

Ring Toss: Outside (toss a ring onto the bucket)

Underdog Freeze Tag: Outside (canceled because it was too windy--but I am curious as to what the game was about)

Lot's of fun!!!!!! (And I put in a picture of what Eliza was doing during the Carnival)

Are you ready to play!

While Grandpa and Grandma Hunter were in town we played a family game of baseball in the backyard. We all had a blast! In case you think I put the last two pictures of Madison in the wrong slideshow....this is what she was doing while we were all outside playing.

This took place May 4, 2008 (I know I am little behind in my posting.....)

(If you want to see the slideshow larger, just try clicking on it and it should take you to my Picasa web album)

Wow, four kids!

This has to be one of my favorite pictures. Here we all are--my four kids and me. Wow, do I really have four kids. I feel so blessed. My children mean the world to me. This picture was taken on Mother's Day.

Pretty Hands

Madison loves to interact with Eliza. She is very careful to always have her hands washed before touching Eliza. Right before she touches her, she looks at me and shows me her hands and tells me they are clean. Here is a sweet conversation we had today about Eliza's hands......

Madison: "Look at her hands" (pause)

"There are pretty hands" (pause)

"Jesus made her?"

Brenna: "Yes"

Madison: "Wow, He's awesome!"

A Site to Enjoy

I was on Jesse's blog tonight and noticed that I wasn't listed under his "Sites I enjoy". When I asked him why the "Fillerup Family" blog wasn't listed he told me that when I actually post something on there for him to look at he will add it. So here's a post.....

Can I be listed on your site now?

I am only a little sleep deprived (yeah right...just a little). I try to do better and post more.

A day at the Children's Museum

The kids have been home for Christmas Break for almost 2 weeks. We had to get out of the house! I decided to take the kids downtown to the Children's Museum. We had so much fun!
